FAQS

Do you offer Gift Vouchers?

Yes — give the gift of a long lunch, a proper pint or a stay in Somerset. Choose a voucher amount from any member of staff at the bar the next time you're visiting. Terms and confusions apply.

Are dogs welcome?

Well-behaved dogs are warmly welcome in the pub, garden and in most our guest rooms (for rooms terms and conditions do apply, please check before booking).

Where can I park?

Our car park is located just up the hill from the pub on the main A367 (Bath Road). The entrance is clearly marked and access is directly opposite the Oakhill Doctors Surgery / Pondsmead Care Home entrance.

Main car park full?

We have been given permission from Oakhill Doctors Surgery to use it as an over flow car park at these times: Friday and Saturday after 6pm and All day Sunday. Please park in the patient bays. Finally, there is plenty of parking on the village High Street but please do park considerately.

What about accessibility?

We want every guest to feel welcome. Please contact us before your visit to discuss access, step-free routes, accessible facilities, parking or any other support you may need.

Can you accommodate group bookings?

Yes — we are always pleased to welcome groups. For tables of 8 or more, please get in touch so we can help with the best table, pre booking menu choices and any dietary requirements.

Do you host private events?

From birthdays and anniversaries to relaxed family gatherings, we can help make an occasion feel special. Tell us your date, guest numbers and what you have in mind (including any extra event details such decorations or timings), and our team will be in touch.

Do you have a children’s menu?

Yes — younger guests are very welcome, with a children’s menu designed for smaller appetites in mind – it's available within the DINE section along with other menus.

NOTE: if you have particular dietary requirements or any special requests (eg supplying your own cake) we are happy to discuss this with you prior to your visit.

Do I need to book a table?

Walk-ins are always welcome when we have space, but booking is recommended for food, weekends, Sundays and larger groups. Our full terms are made clear when you book and we always try to accommodate last minute visits so please pop in.
