Bergerie de la Bastide blanc, Vin de Pays d’Oc 2009 – Languedoc




Le Lesc, Ugni Blanc Colombard 2009 – South West




Crisp, fresh and aromatic. Intense ripe fruit with fantastic acidity – something to wake the palate

Picpoul de Pinet, Château de la Mirande 2009 – Languedoc




Sea scented, clean, crisp and dry with spicy aniseed bouquet, green fruits, yellow plums and herbs underpinned with refreshing acidity. Quite resinous with a full-bodied mouthfeel.

Limoux Chardonnay, Toques et Clochers 2007/8 – Languedoc


Melted butter, nuts, caramel and toast, also a deliciously lemony twist to finish. The accent is on terroir and minimal intervention, unfiltered and unfined. Think Burgundy, particularly Mersault and cut the price by 60%.

Petit Chablis, Domaine Gerard Tremblay 2009 - Burgundy


Superb unoaked Chardonnay. Drawing on the soil of fossilised oyster shells, the minerality comes through strongly on the nose with underlying notes of apple. The palate is graceful and flavoursome and finishes with the expected firm acidity. A great wine for fish, especially river fish.

Sancerre, Domaine Gérard Fiou 2009 – Loire


These vines are planted on flint which has a strong influence on the flavour, imparting a notable minerality, especially on the nose. This is followed by a dry attack in the mouth with piercing citrus acidity of grapefruit and lime, then filling out to exhibit complexity and roundness.

Rully 1er cru ‘Rabourcé’, Domaine Belleville 2008 – Burgundy


A few miles south of the Côte d’Or, the village of Rully produces distinguished, elegant white wines. The mineral rich limestone soil accentuates the grapes natural acidity, making it fresh in youth and rich with age. This Rully reaches an extra level, vibrant pears, minerals, and green apples sheathed in sympathetic oak.

Pouilly-Fumé, Dagueneau ‘Cuvée d’Eve’ 2005/6 – Loire


Beautifully crafted Sauvignon from its natural home. Aged on the “fine lees” to give the wine added richness and distinctive smokiness which gives the wine its name (fumé). Characteristic gunflint nose, mineral-edged, broadening and ripening in the mouth with a full tangy grapefruit and red apple finish.

Maccabeo Chardonnay, Alquezar 2009 – Somontano, Spain




From the foothills of the Pyrenees, un-oaked with engaging aromas of pineapple, banana and peach. Ripe, smooth and fresh on the palate with just a hint of fruit sweetness balanced by a seam of pleasing acidity.

Pinot Grigio Garganega , Rosa Bianca 2009 – Veneto, Italy




Italy’s best known white grape, on this occasion blended with Garganega to add to its personality. Pure clean orchard fruit (pear & apple) and a touch of marzipan. Quite mouthfilling with pleasant balancing acidity.

Vinho Verde, Afros 2009 – Portugal ORGANIC


This wine offers huge reward to those willing to try it. From an organic vineyard by the Minho River close to Spain, made from the Loureiro grape. Benefiting from the combination of gentle sunshine and the cooling influence of the Atlantic, the wine is vibrantly crisp and fresh with notes of mandarin and grapefruit.
